Independent insurance agency · El Paso

El Paso insurance, quoted across 25+ carriers, on your schedule.

El Paso is a different insurance market than the rest of Texas: monsoon flash floods instead of hurricanes, flat roofs and stucco, Fort Bliss families on orders, and daily traffic across the bridges to Juárez. We quote your home, autos and life coverage across the carriers we represent and explain how each one treats those realities.

Insurance in El Paso and far West Texas

What we watch for in El Paso and far West Texas.

Far West Texas is 750 miles from our office and one phone call away. Our carriers write El Paso County the same way they write Harris County, and we have found that El Paso clients often have more good options than they expect, once someone actually shops the market for them.

Monsoon season and arroyos

From July into September, storms drop inches of rain in an hour and the arroyos run. That water is flood, which homeowners policies exclude. We quote NFIP and private flood for homes near the mountain, on the east side and in the Upper and Lower Valley, including homes outside mapped high-risk zones.

Flat roofs, stucco and desert wear

Carriers treat flat and low-slope roofs differently than shingle roofs, and some limit coverage or require inspections. We know which carriers are comfortable with El Paso construction, and how roof coating and age affect the quote.

Driving into Mexico

A Texas auto policy generally provides no coverage once you cross into Mexico. If you drive to Juárez, you need a separate Mexico auto policy for those trips, and we can point you to the right kind. On the U.S. side we make sure uninsured motorist and PIP are quoted properly.

Fort Bliss and moves on orders

We compare our carriers against your current coverage, handle deployment and stored-vehicle questions, and set up coverage for your next duty station's home before you arrive. Our office hours are Central time, which is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm in El Paso.

Questions from El Paso clients

Straight answers.

You are in Houston. Can you really write my El Paso home?

Yes. Our licenses and our carriers cover the whole state, and we already insure clients in far West Texas. The quote is based on your address and your house, not ours.

What time can I reach you from El Paso?

Our office is open 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Central, which is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Mountain time. Email and quote requests come in around the clock and we answer the next business morning.

Does my Texas auto policy cover me in Juárez?

In most cases, no. Standard Texas policies do not provide liability coverage in Mexico. You need a Mexico-specific auto policy for those trips, which is inexpensive for short visits.

Is flood insurance really necessary in the desert?

It depends on your address, but El Paso has a long history of monsoon flooding and many claims come from areas that are not in a high-risk zone. Preferred-risk flood policies are inexpensive, and we will tell you honestly whether yours is worth buying.
